Gary is the sole force that is Build It Consulting & Construction. He designed and built for us a kitchen and wine bar that could be featured on HGTV! Look at the photos!
Gary is everything you want from a contractor, but rarely get. He arrived EVERY DAY at 7:45 AM, and stayed until after 4:00 PM. He does all the work, no subcontractors! An apprentice helper was his only assistance. He finished the job on time, and on budget.
His attention to detail is amazing, and he was willing to collaborate with us when we made necessary adjustments as the project evolved. Perhaps most impressively is his technical skill. The man is a true craftsman from an age gone by. He built us a wine bar, FROM SCRATCH, based on our hand-drawn sketch. He trained as an old-school carpenter, and it shows. He is also a magician with dry wall! Our ceiling and walls look seamless despite the abuse they took from the removal of a weight-bearing header, and the widening of an entryway.
Beyond his skill as a craftsman, Gary is just a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly patient and accommodating as we decided change orders, that thankfully were reasonably priced. Finally, the man is a gentleman, and a pleasure to do business with.You will not be disappointed working with Gary from Build It Consulting & Construction!

Gary is the best! He’s knowledgable, honest, on time, and has a real passion for his job. He knows his stuff inside and out but also gave us the opportunity to choose what we wanted according to our tastes and needs. We are absolutely thrilled the way that our project turned out and feel lucky to have found Build It.
Build-it was responsive, professional, personable, thorough and punctual. They remodeled my kitchen on schedule and on budget. Gary handled every aspect of the remodel, from demolition, painting and repairs to cabinet installation, plumbing, electrical, tiling and all other detail work; the result is a beautiful, modernized kitchen. We couldn’t be happier.
Gary and his crew are very thorough and strive for perfection. They make sure they clean up every day before they leave. They remodeled my whole house which is 56 years old and had never had any upgrades. It was a challenge to say the least. It now looks like a beautiful brand new house. If you are unsure of what exactly you want, Gary has a lot of great ideas. I’m extremely pleased with the outcome.

Gary himself never missed an appointment and was extremely reliable. The original quote was complete and understandable and each of the two change orders during remodel were communicated clearly and executed at our discretion. Gary can design whatever it is you want your home to become, even if you are not exactly sure what that is. He has great relationships with various vendors, including flooring, countertops, and cabinet makers. And Build-it coordinates all the interactions to make sure everything happened on schedule. Most important with this type of investment is the end result. Gary is a true craftsman and ensured that every detail was complete before signing off on the job. Everyday we get to enjoy the beauty and function of our new space and we have Gary and his team to thank for it.
